Bulghourji Restaurant and Lounge opened in 2004, an enterprise of the Kalajian family whose forefathers came to Jerusalem in the fifteenth century.
It is situated in an ancient and highly impressive building which was once a burghul / bulgur factory, which is evoked in the name, that has remained unchanged for centuries.
Bulghourji is renowned for its wonderful Armenian dishes – all based on fine meat prepared in traditional style, and the best home cooking. The warm atmosphere in the restaurant draws together elements of Jerusalem old and new.
